Rolex TURN-O-GRAPH Datejust

The Datejust “Turn-o-Graph” is also known as the “Thunderbird” after the US Air Force aerobatic team that the watch was issued to. Developed in the early 1950s, the Turn-o-Graph was the first timepiece in the Rolex catalog to offer a rotatable timing bezel. This model pre-dates the Submariner and GMT Master and is an integral piece of Rolex’s history. The ref. 116264 that is presented here today is a newer variation of the line that features a striking “White Rolesor” finish of 904L Oystersteel and 18 karat white gold, a striking fluted bezel, and a sophisticated white dial topped with sporty red accents. The case is hermetically sealed via a double-sealed Twinlock screw-down crown and a screw-down case back, allowing it to resist pressures of up to 100 meters.
